MANT (Manbhum Ananda Ashram Nityananda Trust), in collaboration with HDFC Bank Parivartan—the CSR wing of HDFC Bank—has launched the “Srijan” Project in Balurghat, Dakshin Dinajpur. This initiative marks a significant step towards improving the quality of life and economic well-being of farmers in the region.
Following the successful inauguration of the project in Tapan and Kumarganj blocks, the Balurghat launch was celebrated with great enthusiasm among farmers, local stakeholders, and project representatives.
Transforming Rural Livelihoods
The core objective of the Srijan Project is to enhance farmers’ income and promote sustainable agricultural practices. By focusing on effective soil and water management and integrated farming systems, the project aims to improve productivity while ensuring environmental balance.
The initiative is expected to directly benefit around 3,000 farmers across the district, helping them increase their earnings and achieve a better standard of living.
Project officials highlighted that Srijan seeks to bring long-term change by equipping farmers with knowledge, resources, and support for climate-smart, sustainable agriculture.
