INVITATION FOR QUOTATION FOR CONSTRUCTION OF SHADE FOR MUSHROOM CULTIVATION

Manbhum Ananda Ashram Nityananda Trust (MANT) invites sealed quotations / digital
quotations from reputed and authorized suppliers for construction of a shade for mushroom
cultivation at Balurghat, Dakshin Dinajpur District, under Project SRIJAN, supported by HDFC
Bank Parivartan.

2. Technical Specifications and Requirements
a. Size of each shade/room:
o Length: 15 ft
o Width: 10 ft
o Minimum height: 10 ft from the top/ground level, as applicable to the structure.
o The structure shall be constructed as a single-slope roof to facilitate proper drainage
of rainwater.
b. Bamboo Framework:
o The complete structural framework shall be made using strong, straight, and good-
quality bamboo suitable for the construction.
o Bamboo framing shall be provided around the entire perimeter of the room, including
adequate vertical supports, horizontal members, and roof supports.
o Bamboo members shall be properly tied/jointed and firmly anchored to ensure
stability and durability.
o The contractor shall ensure that the structure remains rigid and does not become
unstable due to wind or normal weather conditions.

c. Roofing / Shade Cover
o The roof shall be covered using 25 mm tin roofing sheets of good quality.
o Roofing sheets shall be properly aligned and securely fixed to the bamboo
framework.
o Adequate overlap shall be maintained between adjoining sheets to prevent rainwater
leakage.
o The roof shall have a single slope with sufficient gradient for effective drainage.
Insulation Arrangement:
o Jute wood shall be provided at the base/supporting arrangement of the tin roofing to
help maintain proper insulation and reduce direct heat transfer from the tin sheet.
o The insulation arrangement shall be securely fixed and shall cover the required
roofing/supporting area adequately.

d. Green Net:
o The complete room shall be surrounded/enclosed with good-quality green shade net
on all sides.

o The green net shall be properly fixed to the bamboo framework without loose or open
sections.
o The net should provide adequate ventilation while reducing direct sunlight and
maintaining a suitable environment for mushroom cultivation.
o The contractor shall ensure that the green net is properly stretched and secured.
e. GI Wire Protection
o A GI wire protective arrangement shall be provided around the outside base of the
green-net enclosure.
o The GI wire protection shall extend up to approximately 4 ft in height from ground
level.
o The arrangement shall be sufficiently strong and properly fixed to protect the green
net from damage caused by animals, movement around the structure, and other
external factors.
f. Foundation and Fixing
o All bamboo posts/supports shall be properly fixed/anchored at the ground to provide
adequate structural stability.
o The contractor shall ensure proper tensioning, tying and fixing of bamboo members,
green net, GI wire and roofing materials.
o Any additional minor materials required for complete installation, such as binding
wire, rope, fasteners, nails, clamps, supports and other fixing materials, shall be
included in the quoted rate unless specifically excluded in the quotation.

3. Submission of Quotation
a. The quotation must be submitted in a sealed envelope and dropped into the tender
box at the SRIJAN Project office, BT Park, Power House, Balurghat- 733103
