Jit Chattopadhyay

Jit Chattopadhyay is a Kolkata-based documentary photographer and videographer with seven years of experience telling stories rooted in social justice, human rights, and environmental issues. He currently works as a Community Media Producer at MANT, an India-based non-profit organisation. His freelance work has been published by renowned global outlets including BBC, Al Jazeera, The Guardian, CNN, Vice World News, and Barron’s Magazine. He has collaborated with organisations such as UNICEF, SOPA Images, and The New Humanitarian, and his photographs have appeared on platforms like Associated Press and Getty. His ongoing documentary project in coastal West Bengal explores the human cost of climate change, cyclones, and human trafficking. His work has earned international recognition, including a feature in a New York University exhibition, 2 exhibitions in Bangladesh, finalist position at the HIPA Photography Awards, Winner of World Photographers Club photography award.
