Sericulture Deptt. Organises Capacity Building Training February 4, 2016

Capacity building training on Self Help Groups under the Intensive Bivoltine Sericulture Development Project (ISBDP) 2015-16,organized by the department of Sericulture, commenced on January 25 at Common Facility Center (CFC) , KeyitoBade village, Dhansiripar, Dimapur and concluded on January 30. The training was conducted under the supervision of district sericulture officer, Yashimeren. Topics for the training consisted of the concept, purpose and benefits of SHGs, formation of SHGs, its functions, rules and regulations, book keeping and leadership development. The main goal of the training was to empower women by capacitating them with necessary skills to improve their socio- economic condition through sericulture activities. Project Coordinator, Anirban Roy and project assistant of the ManbhumAnanda Ashram Nityananda Trust (MANT), Soumik Nandy were the resource persons along with field coordinators, NichuloRengma and Resham Mitra and Emilo. A total of 120 women beneficiaries availed this training in 6 batches. Published on: Nagaland Post
