Centre for Public Health Research

Introducing the passionate team driving our mission to empower communities and create lasting impact.

Are our social activities making an impact for better in society?

For years we have been working on various fronts to empower marginalised people and making the world a better place to live. But were our efforts even making any change at the ground zero?

That thought made us felt the need for regular monitoring and evaluation of our programs. We decided to conduct primary research to understand the effectiveness or outcomes of the programmes which are being carried by us. Thus came into force our Research Wing in the year 2017.

Centre for Public Health Research is recognised as a Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (SIRO) by DSIR, Government of India.

The centre has become a “JBI Affiliated Center on Evidence Synthesis and Evidence Implementation for Indigenous Health” in the last month. The affiliate centre is now the first of its kind institute in the world focusing on evidence synthesis and evidence implementation on indigenous health, the first centre in India focusing on evidence implementation, the first centre in Eastern India, and the fifth JBI affiliate centre in the country. We have a team of 5 PhDs with different specializations like economics, public health, anthropology, and geography.

We have been implementing research projects with support from Johns Hopkins University, USA and the International Union against Tuberculosis and Lung Disease, Paris. We have been collaborating with various universities like the Manipal Academy of Higher Education, Manipal, Ramaiya University of Applied Sciences, Bengaluru, KLE University, Karnataka, Chitkara University, Chandigarh, SKB University, Purulia, University of Pretoria, South Africa, Charles Darwin University, Australia, and Brunel University, London. We are experts in cost-benefit and cost-effectiveness analysis and have been implementing studies on Social Return on Investment.
