Our Work.
Indigenous Adolescent Health
Empowering indigenous adolescents with health, education, and support to build resilient and thriving communities.
Empowering Indigenous Youth for a Healthier Tomorrow
We are dedicated to transforming the lives of marginalized communities by empowering them with the tools and resources they need to thrive. As an NGO committed to public health, we believe that everyone, regardless of their background or circumstances, deserves access to quality healthcare, education, and support services. Through our various initiatives and projects, we are working tirelessly to bridge the gaps and create lasting change.
Building Resilience: Why Indigenous Adolescent Health Matters
Program Goal
To improve the physical, mental, and social well-being of indigenous adolescents by providing accessible healthcare, education, and support, fostering healthier and more resilient future generations.
Need for the Program
Indigenous adolescents face unique health challenges, including limited access to healthcare, cultural displacement, and social vulnerabilities. Addressing these needs is essential to empower these young individuals, helping them overcome barriers to health and well-being and secure a strong foundation for their future.
Activities We Do
Awareness Campaigns: Spreading Knowledge, Inspiring Action
One of our flagship projects is an extensive awareness campaign that harnesses the power of community videos and radio programs. We firmly believe that knowledge is power, and by providing communities with information on health, nutrition, and early marriage prevention, we can empower individuals to make informed decisions for themselves and their families. These videos and radio programs serve as vital tools for educating and inspiring change, fostering a sense of unity and empowerment among marginalized communities.
Capacity Building: Empowering the Changemakers
To create sustainable impact, we recognize the importance of capacity building within communities. Through targeted training programs, we equip individuals with the skills and knowledge they need to become agents of change within their communities. By empowering local leaders, we create a ripple effect that extends far beyond the initial intervention. We firmly believe in the power of individuals to drive social change, and our capacity building initiatives are designed to unleash their potential.
Ethnographic Research: Understanding Communities, Tailoring Solutions
At MANT, we understand the significance of cultural context in addressing public health challenges. Our dedicated team of researchers conducts ethnographic studies to gain a deeper understanding of marginalized communities, their unique needs, and the factors that influence their well-being. By embracing cultural sensitivity and inclusivity, we tailor our interventions to ensure they are effective, sustainable, and respectful of local customs and traditions.
Optimal Use of
Health and Nutritional Support Services
Access to quality health and nutritional support services is a fundamental right that should be available to all. Through our initiatives, we strive to improve access to these services for marginalized communities, ensuring that no one is left behind. By working closely with local healthcare providers and community leaders, we develop comprehensive programs that address the specific health and nutritional needs of the marginalized populations we serve. Our aim is to build strong foundations for a healthier, more resilient future.
UTTARAN : A Mobile Application for Abuse Prevention
Recognizing the prevalence of abuse faced by marginalized individuals, particularly women and children, we have developed a mobile application, Uttaran, for abuse prevention. This innovative tool provides a safe space for individuals to seek support, report abuse incidents, and access vital resources. By leveraging technology, we are harnessing the power of connectivity to protect the vulnerable and provide them with the support they need to break free from cycles of abuse.
