Ms. Papiya Sen
Executive Director
Ms. Papiya Sen is the Executive Director of MANT where she is responsible for strategy framing, new project development, liaison with Govt. and other funding sources, financial management, and overall operations. She has been with MANT for the last 20 years and has been instrumental in making the organization a leading NGO in the region. MS. Sen has more than 35 years of experience in social work, especially in the fields of basic healthcare, reproductive and child health, gender issues, AIDS prevention, and livelihood promotion.
Dr. Chandidas Mukherjee
Secretary
Dr. Chandidas Mukherjee, MA, PhD, former Principal of a Degree College and Secretary, MANT. More than 35 years of experience in teaching and managing educational and development institutions, specialist in IEC (Information, Education, Communication), Communication for Development (C4D), Environmental Sanitation and Life Enrichment Education. A specialist in using – writing, directing, and acting – the medium of street play for building up community awareness vital to the survival of the rural poor. He is instrumental in introducing various extension programmes in collaboration with NGOs and GOs for building up a youth force aspiring to achieve a life skill style for a better rural societal set up.
Executive Committee
Mr. Chowdhury is the President of MANT. He is a Civil Engineer by profession and has been associated with MANT for the last 10 years. His work schedule encompasses infrastructural developmental duties at the Panchayat level and is thoroughly grounded on the reality at the grassroots level. Devoutly dedicated to the objectives of MANT he spends his valuable time is getting associated with the field activities of MANT.
Mr. Sinha is the Head master of a Jr. high school for and has a long association with MANT. Apart from being a member of the Executive Committee he has now been handed over the responsibility of the Treasurer of MANT. He is very particular in his work and has active involvement in field level activities of MANT.
Ms. Saren has been representing the scheduled tribe/ indigenous community with whom MANT has been working for last 63 years. She has been instrumental in bringing various changes through social mobilization and community activism in the tribal community.
Srimanti has been associated for the last 12 years. She has been actively associated with all the developmental activities that are being implemented by MANT in the district of Purulia. She is a good community mobilizer, actor, singer and moreover the first tribal radio jockey in the country.
Jyostna has an active involvement with MANT for more than 10 years. She is a member of the Executive body of MANT. She represents the Scheduled Caste Community and has become a spoke person of that community for enlightenment of the EC members of MANT from time to time at the time of framing of projects
Mr. Tudu is a member of the Executive body. He is a radio jockey at our community radio station namely Nityananda Janavani 91.2 FM and has been working intensively at the grassroots. He has a sizable tribal youths following so much so that he can be called to be a tribal mass leader.
Mr. Mukherjee is a Businessman by profession but has keen interest in social welfare activities. He is the President of a renowned Girls’ School of Purulia and has the distinction of making the school a notable one in respect of its infrastructure. In our area he is popularly known to be friend of the poor and oppressed and is definitely a pick-me-up when somebody is in financial crisis to meet his/her health needs.
